NEW SEASON

In three weeks the entries open for our March BE Event -  everyone is starting to think about  preparing their horses for the 2012 Season. 

If you are able to volunteer to help at this Event please ring us on 01260 299888.  

 The cross country schooling field will remain shut for the time being – ground conditions dictate when we can re-open it.  Meantime, lots of portables are in the Ash Arena with solid fences, simulated ditches, a duel height Bank, several skinnies and a half-owl-hole for perfecting technique before attempting similar questions in an open field.  It is available to book at any time.

We also of course hire out our Show Jumping Arenas, and if you would like to hire a dressage arena (20 x 40 or 20 x 60) laid out with white boards give the office a ring and we can let you know when they are available.

Our pre-Season Eventers Show Jumping competition (two phase) takes place on Tuesday 14th February. Classes from BE80 – Intermediate: Click Here for Schedule.  

Harthill Stud pre-Event Dressage will take place on Thursday 16th February.  Classes from BE100 to FEI*** : Click Here for Schedule.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It was lovely to see so many of  you over the Holiday period.  Although we had quite a few wet and windy days the frost and snow of last year stayed away and a good time was had by all.

Although the Cross Country Schooling on the grass is shut, the Winter Ride remains open, as does the Cross Country Technique in the Ash Arena with jumps for all capabilities.

Our Pre-season Eventers Show Jumping takes place onTuesday 14th February with classes from 85cm to 1.20m.  Once again Sue Barratt will be building the courses, so it will be a good warm up for the early Events. Click Here for a Schedule.

XC Technique, Pre-season SJ – and Xmas!

We can now hire out the Ash Arena with the Cross Country Technique fences – solid portables that are securely fixed to the ground.  They will be in there until the end of February. 

Our Pre-Season ShowJumping date is Tuesday 14th February.

Winter Ride Open.

The 6 mile all-weather track is now fully OPEN!  The fully surfaced track takes riders through woods and fields with optional jumps of variable heights, a water jump and a stream crossing.  The footing never gets deep,  there are good viewing points for walkers and short cuts if you do not want to do the whole ride.  It is open every day – please ring 01260 299888 to book. 

The Cross Country Schooling as also open, and the Arenas are available for hire, with new Show Jumping Courses set up.   We sometimes have fully boarded Dressage Arenas available for individuals to hire at weekends during the winter months – ring for details.
